Practice Enterprises

A practice enterprise (also known as a practice firm or virtual enterprise) is a virtual company that runs like a real business silhouetting a real firm's business procedures, products and services. A practice enterprise resembles a real company in its form, organization and function. Each practice enterprise trades with other practice enterprises, following commercial business procedures in the practice enterprise's worldwide economic environment.

 


Stocks In Action

Stocks In Action has been set up to explain in an easy way to youth how both Stock Exchange and financial markets function. During 7 weeks they will familiarize themselves with: the different investment opportunities, the stock exchange stakeholders, the impact of the economic crisis on stock exchange. These factors will allow students to invest in a responsible and informed manner.


Steer Your Career University Algeria

Steer Your Career targets university students, aiming to hone the skills needed to find a job and operate effectively in a competitive job environment. Through hands-on classroom activities, personal assessment, role playing, and reflection exercises, Steer Your Career helps student function effectively in the modern workplace. During the program students are introduced to leadership, time management, and communication skills and techniques. Throughout this course other key concepts covered include problem solving, team dynamics and coping with conflicts in team environments.

 


Smart Start

SMART START program aims to support students with high potential projects to start their own businesses. Having previously completed the main program of INJAZ, Company Program, a training program for the creation and management business, students will take a step back and think carefully and methodically on their idea and work on how to make their project viable and sustainable. SMART START program  is immersed in a process of long-term thinking on their choice of product or service, niche scalability, etc.

Project promoters grouped into junior companies are encouraged to discuss with their mentors how their business can really take shape in the real world. They will discuss issues related to scalability, market penetration and growth.

Through personalized support "professionals to professionals" youth build a comprehensive business plan, they will market their project and develop the skills needed to become seasoned entrepreneurs.


Boule & Bill

This programme is part of the educational primary curriculum in 6th grade, and involves only teachers.

Famous Comic characters Boule & Bill, have set their heart on a new bike. However, they don't have the financial means to buy the bicycle, and therefore decide to launch a business in order to raise money.

Children get an insight into economic and business concepts and notions through a Comic story and playfull actvities guided by their teachers.


Engineering Trainee Days

The students follow an engineer or scientist during 2 days. They get to realise which skills are needed in those 2 sectors. This program helps students to choose en engineering domain and gives them information on various specialisations.


JAM Managing Your Money Smartly

JAM Managing Your Money Smartly is a two hour interactive talk done by a minimum of two staffs of JA Mascareignes. The objective of the talk is to educate youth and young adults on how to manage their money in a responsible way. For JA Mascareignes it is important for our beneficiaries to understand that whatever the amount of money you have in hand, be it big or small, it is vital that this income be monitored closely so as to take it the longest way possible.

The talk is divided into five sections:

  • Money Management: Prioritising expenditures, SMART Consumer, Personal Budget Development.
  • Credit Management: Different types of credit and advantages and disadvantages of using credit.
  • Over indebtedness: what to do when in personal financial crisis.
  • Risks and Insurances.
  • Wealth Building: based on the book, “The Richest Man in Babylon”.


Entrepreneurship Master Class

The program starts by a private sector motivational speaker.

The volunteer asks each one what she/he aspires in life (future life plans). 

The volunteer explains the notion of entrepreneurship as a future life plan and what people can gain from such a direction. 

The volunteer and the teacher then start dividing the children into small groups of 8 participants. 

The volunteer explains what a company means and what is the role of each one in the company. 

The volunteer then asks the sudents about the necessity of having logos, presents them some brands logos and explains the values of each company and the necessity of having values. 

The volunteer asks each one in which department (CEO, Finance, marketing, PR, production...) he/she perceives himself and why. 

 

The voluneer introduces the first activity as she/he describes what a printing company is for and asks the students'groups to create printing companies in the aim to produce X number of celebration cards

The volunteer asks the students to choose a name,logo and values of their companies.

The student groups then develop the organization structure of their companies.

 The small companies send their production manager to buy the necessary material (tools: paper, markers, tape,.....)from a simulated supply store in the class.

The financial department start calculating the costs and revenues.

Students produce their cards, then the marketing manager, the CEO and the production Mangers start pitching for their cards in front of the judging panel.

Companies are assssed on the basis of pitching performance, understanding of the company process, understanding of the financial calculation process.


Entrepreneurship Master Class Elementary/Middle - Algeria (EMC)

A one day workshop to introduce the concept of self-employment to 50 students. Key skills developed in this workshop include creative thinking and problem solving, communication skills and presentation, teamwork and leadership, confidence, negotiation, decision-making and risk management and finally how to respond to challenges.


Steer your Career Tunisia

Steer Your Career targets university students and vocational training centers students, aiming to aquire the skills needed to integrate into the job market and to operate effectively in a competitive job environment.

 

Through hands-on classroom activities, personal assessment, role playing, and reflection exercises, Steer Your Career helps students function effectively in the modern

workplace.

During the program students are introduced to leadership, time management, conflict resolution and communication skills and techniques.

Throughout this course other key concepts covered include problem solving, team dynamics and coping with conflicts in team environments.

The program is delivered in 7 seperate sessions by INJAZ Tunisia corporate volunteers. 

 

 

It is delivered to engineering school students, Vocational Training Centers and also  in a partnership with an NGO (ADRA Jobs Tunisia)

 


Start Up University Algeria

Start Up is a six month program, which aims to the creation of strong start ups, in all the industrial/IT/hand craft/ fields. Applicants must be INJAZ Alumni from Steer your Career, Job Shadow, or Company Program. It includes financing the start up, and providing incubation and mentorship over 6 months.
