Entrepreneurs in front of the classroom
In OvK entrepreneurs share their experiences from real life with the young people. During a presentation they get the chance to introduce their company and the reason why they started it. After this, students can ask questions about the job of an entrepreneur.
Engineering Trainee Days
The students follow an engineer or scientist during 2 days. They get to realise which skills are needed in those 2 sectors. This program helps students to choose en engineering domain and gives them information on various specialisations.
Global Connection Program
Global Connection program is the first JA educational program focused on entrepreneurship and innovation to involve high school students from China and U.S. in the creation and management of an international trading company. Global Connection Program aims to foster innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship and promoting cultural exchange between Chinese and American students. The final objective of this program is to help teenagers to become successful competitors in the context of a global economy.
Career Exploration
Career Exploration is an Open-dialogue discussion between students and volunteers. The purpose is to expose students to a wide range of career possibilities and provide resources to help them begin focusing on and pursuing career interests at an early age. The duration: half a day
Entrepreneurship Academy Programme
The JA South Africa Entrepreneurship Academy Programme - a seven to eight month long programme for grades 10 – 12, with weekly sessions of three hours each, incorporating entrepreneurial, financial literacy and workplace readiness programmes, as well as micro-economics and business ethics.
Girls Enterprise Program
Girls Enterprise Program is a specific program for girls who are drawn from schools and out of school young girls within 16-18 years. The program aims to teach them entreprenuership and skill acquisition in areas of interest. Skiils such as photography, computer acquisition, pastry making etc are taught.
Entrepreneurship Master Class Middle-UAE
The half day workshop introduces students to the concept of self-employment and entrepreneurship. It gives them the opportunity to meet an entrepreneur and engage in exciting activities with volunteers that are meant to expand their horizons and direct their thinking towards their professional future in a fun way. The workshops help students think about and rehearse responses to ideas while working in groups. Students work in teams to tackle a series of engaging enterprise challenges.
Entrepreneurship Master Class (EMC) High Pakistan
By developing the essential components of a business plan, the Entrepreneurship Master Class challenges students to start an entrepreneurial venture while still in high school.
Following participation in the program, students will be able to:
- Recognize characteristics and practices of successful entrepreneurs.
- Start thinking about their business goals and assess them from different perspectives.
- Demonstrate business-planning skills for an online venture start-up, financing, management, and long-term goals.
- Develop their interpersonal as well as problem-solving skills and learn to work under very tight deadlines
Session Summary
This exciting one-day (4-5 hour) workshop introduces 45-50 high school/college students to the concept of self-employment as well as an understanding of the skills, attitudes and behaviors of entrepreneurs, all of which are involved in setting up and running a business. Meant to expand their horizons and direct their thinking towards the future in a fun way. This workshop aims to cultivate the following:
- Creative thinking and problem solving alongside communication and presentation skills;
- Teamwork and leadership whilst building confidence and a can-do attitude;
- Negotiations, decision making, managing risks, and adapting to change.
Session Activities
Activity 1: How Much of an Entrepreneur are you?
Students are introduced to the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs and assess themselves in light of the same, so as to build their knowledge of the business world.
Activity 2: Start Thinking
Students take on the roles of young entrepreneurs as they identify various issues within their localities and develop ‘business solutions’ to overcome each problem.
Activity 3: You as a Business/You as a Customer
Student groups first identify key characteristics of a successful business idea and then place themselves in a customer’s shoes to understand how their business goals affect their image as portrayed by their customers.
Activity 4: The Business Plan
Students apply the knowledge gained to their product or services and complete a sample business plan, which is to be presented within 2.5 minutes bearing in mind all key aspects of a start-up business venture.

Aflatoun
Aflatoun is a worldwide movement which could not be created without curriculum adaptation, without generous support and dedication of JAA team, teachers, children, parents, trainers, ministry, donors, partners, volunteers, board members, , family and friends – everyone who has helped bring Aflatoun to children in Armenia.
The Aflatoun Secretariat provided a curriculum and training, and JA Armenia adapted the curriculum, find the resources to deliver and implement the programme in schools.
Entrepreneurship Master Class High School Palestine
Entrepreneurship Master Class is a one-day inspirational workshop-for young people between the ages of 14-25 (with differences in delivery for each age group), it challenges students to think about starting their own business as a career, and becoming entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship Master Class builds on the wider key skills; the participants acquire social skills and experience of communications, team work, sales, marketing, finance, problem solving , personal training through improving their performance and use self-assessment procedures to support the growth of quality businesses and quality jobs.
The program is divided into two parts, first the theoretical part, where they learn about the different business departements, the skills needed for every departement, the sources of funding, social responsibillity and the role of board of directors.
The second part is practical, in this part the students are divided into groups where each group has to have a CEO, marketing director, sales director, human resources manager and employees. The students are given material and a certain amount of money in order to make their own product and to convince others to buy it, during this part the students face some challenges where they have to make decisions that will put their virtual business at risk and will cause them to loose or win.

Head Start Kuwait
Head Start meets the needs of a diverse group of students by providing engaging, academically enriching and in experiential learning sessions in work readiness education and career perspecitve. The work shop based program includes 3 volunteer led sessions that include resume writing, interviewing and introduction to internships.
Entrepreneurial Skills
This program enables participants to acquire the set of skills they need to start and run a business. At the beginning, participants will explore the different types and elements of an enterprise, and then they will become exposed to inspiring and instructional examples of successful local entrepreneurs. Afterwards, participants will evaluate their own ideas, design and practice their elevator pitch.

Activities are designed to prepare the program’s participants to the ever-challenging employability skills demanded nowadays.
