Managerial Simulation Exercises

It is based on the use of economic simulation training programs in an interactive learning process, it enables students understand economic principles and laws, connects macro and micro-economic levels of society. It gives an opportunity to gain experience in team work, make decisions, risk, predict the consequences and be responsible for them.

Kid@Bizz is a short project in which children age 8-12 create a business- or actionplan they thereafter organize or carry out.


JIEHA!

JIEHA! is a short entrepreneurial experience for age 14-16 in which the students start up their own ethical company, selling Fair Trade products or offering services to the community.


Balance, Breakeven or Broke

On Line game developed with the support of Citi Foundation to promote improved financial literacy amongst youth in Indonesia. This is a digital representation of the first lesson in JA Personal Finance in Indonesian and English languages.


Business Startup

The INJAZ Business Start Up Program will contribute to the social and economic development, and political stability of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region by engaging the talent of today’s youth and tomorrow’s leaders to create and innovate entrepreneurial solutions to local, regional and international socio-economic and political challenges.  


Creatlon

Creatlon consists of 3 parts.

1.  Obtaining knowledge in economics and entrepreneurship - quiz in Moodle.

2. Team exercise - 5 team tasks to fulfil in 1 month (Job shadowing, volunteering and writing about it, making a travel plan with prizes, etc.)

3. Creative task - a video, business fairy tale, advertisement, etc.

Children's Hope Store

Children's Hope Store teaches students about opening a shop, making and selling goods after learning the economic element and the process needed for the startup of business.

Economy of Kazakhstan

“Economy of Kazakhstan” introduces school students to fundamentals of economic concepts, also students study main characteristics of Kazakhstan economical system and how economic principles influence entrepreneurship.
Also programme helps school students to deepen theoretical knowledge, learn economic institutions which provide coherence in society, learn opportunities of career advancement. Students will develop their team and leader skills during the programme studying.


JA Business Skills Pass Program

The JA Business Skills Pass Program (BSP) is specifically designed to supplement student’s learning in the key business subjects under the Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) track. Its well-researched components is created and patterned on some 21st century skills requirements, following international standards, and more importantly to prepare the JA/DepEd Business Simulation program. Designed with specific needs of upper grade students in mind, BSP provides useful and practical content to equip students in their transition to becoming productive and contributing members of the society. This will also provide them with the necessary skills to create and manage an enterprise and prepare them for tertiary education in business.
 


Hotel Economy

A course that introduces learners to the economy of the hotel industry. They familiarize with the basic economic indices of activity of a modern hotel and learn to understand, diagnose, and optimize the yield of a hotel.


Hotel Management

A learning course that acquaint its participants with basic principles, tools, policies, and main indices of effectiveness of modern hotel management.


CAPS Japan

CAPS is a hands-on computerized simuation program designed to improve 

young people’s decision-making skills, cost consciousness, leadership,

teamwork, responsibility, and ability to see things from diversified standpoints

by running a virtual company.

Entrepreneurship Academy Programme

The JA South Africa Entrepreneurship Academy Programme - a seven to eight month long programme for grades 10 – 12, with weekly sessions of three hours each, incorporating entrepreneurial, financial literacy and workplace readiness programmes, as well as micro-economics and business ethics. 

 


Aflatoun

Aflatoun’s program contains both social and financial themes. Children learn about themselves, child rights, saving, basic financial concepts, and enterprise. Aflatoun puts children at the center of their learning process and engages them with the world around them. By doing so, Aflatoun believes that the social and financial lessons that they receive will stay with them forever.

JAM Managing Your Money Smartly

JAM Managing Your Money Smartly is a two hour interactive talk done by a minimum of two staffs of JA Mascareignes. The objective of the talk is to educate youth and young adults on how to manage their money in a responsible way. For JA Mascareignes it is important for our beneficiaries to understand that whatever the amount of money you have in hand, be it big or small, it is vital that this income be monitored closely so as to take it the longest way possible.

The talk is divided into five sections:

  • Money Management: Prioritising expenditures, SMART Consumer, Personal Budget Development.
  • Credit Management: Different types of credit and advantages and disadvantages of using credit.
  • Over indebtedness: what to do when in personal financial crisis.
  • Risks and Insurances.
  • Wealth Building: based on the book, “The Richest Man in Babylon”.


Banks and Banking

ABCdar Bancar includes financial concepts like: budget, spending and savings, products, modern payments, and investments, credit and how to use a bank credit. The program includes in-class activities but also Innovation Camp on financial topics.

ABCdar Bancar aims to:

  • Improve the understanding of basic financial concepts and help students correctly use financial terms;
  • Help students understand the importance of basic financial knowledge in their personal and professional life;
  • Provide students with information and training regarding credits and usage of a bank credit;
  • Help students understand the role and importance of planning their personal budget in order to reach long term goals.

Aflatoun

 Aflatoun is a worldwide movement which could not be created without curriculum adaptation, without generous support and dedication of JAA team, teachers, children, parents, trainers, ministry, donors, partners, volunteers, board members, , family and friends – everyone who has helped bring Aflatoun to children in Armenia.
The Aflatoun Secretariat provided a curriculum and training, and JA Armenia adapted the curriculum, find the resources to deliver and implement the programme in schools.
